Wellness & Events for Women
Taking Care of Me™ didn’t start as a brand.
It started as a realization.
In 2019, while working with clients and living life as a woman carrying many responsibilities, I noticed a pattern that was impossible to ignore. People knew they should take care of themselves, but didn’t know how. Self-care had become a buzzword, reduced to occasional breaks, surface-level activities, or short escapes that helped people push through just a little longer… but not actually feel nourished, restored, or whole.
We talked about care, but we didn’t teach it.
We encouraged rest but didn’t show people how to prioritize themselves without guilt.
We promoted balance, yet offered no real guidance for what to do when life felt like constant responsibility, rotating fires, and little emergencies that never seemed to end.
The first Taking Care of Me™ Health & Wellness Conference was created to respond to that gap.
It was designed to move beyond mental health as a single category and invite people into a holistic, 360 view of their lives, mind, body, spirit, relationships, purpose, and rest. The goal wasn’t to help people refuel so they could keep pouring into everyone else. It was to help them see themselves as worthy of care, attention, and intention.
What I wanted people to walk away with was clarity.
An honest understanding of where they were depleted.
And a practical plan to apply care where it was actually needed.
The conference was meant to be a one-time experience.
Instead, it became the foundation of a movement.
Although plans for future conferences were paused by the pandemic, the message of Taking Care of Me™ continued to live on through counseling sessions, workshops, webinars, and everyday conversations. Over time, it became clear that this wasn’t just an event, it was a mindset, a practice, and a responsibility.
Today, Taking Care of Me™ continues to expand through intentional wellness experiences, including the return of the Health & Wellness Conference, the Taking Care of Me™ Journal, the Pour Party™, and micro-events designed to make self-nourishing care accessible, practical, and sustainable.
At its core, Taking Care of Me™ is about permission
permission to make yourself a priority,
permission to stop waiting for burnout as a signal,
and permission to care for yourself without apology.
Because taking care of you shouldn’t be something you squeeze in. It should be how you live!
